Mayor Noam Bramson, chamber of commerce Executive Director Bob Marrone join with New Rochelle religious leaders for the free event. The ceremony is meant to signify the diverse makeup of the New Rochelle community, officials said.

Each spiritual leader will have the opportunity to speak, and carols will be sung by the Songcatchers along with anyone who wants to join in, officials said.

Santa and members of the New Rochelle Fire Department will also be on hand. After the ceremony, the chamber and Alvin & Friends will host hot chocolate and treats at Alvin & Friends, 14 Memorial Highway.
