NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Sound Fest/Long Island Sound Science Festival is coming to the New Rochelle Public Library.
There will be a sneak peek of the event from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday for the festival, which is scheduled for October 2014 in honor of the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Long Island Sound.
Wednesday's event In the library's auditorium will include "Dr. Living Sound," a presenter from the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, Conn. dedicated to the Sound and its inhabitants. At the event, you'll also be able to meet some of those inhabitants, at least those that live in Mamaroneck Harbor. Mamaroneck's new Marine Education Center will be on hand with live marine creatures and you'll learn what you can do to protect them.
