The auditorium is on the campus of The College of New Rochelle, 29 Castle Place, New Rochelle. O’Donovan, president emeritus of Georgetown University and a trustee of The College of New Rochelle, will present a contemporary perspective on art and stations of the cross.

The lecture will feature images of a contemporary "Way of the Cross" by sculptor Bert Gerresheim juxtaposed with images from refugees making the "Way of the Cross." Begun in the time of the Crusaders, devotion to the stations of the cross grew steadily over the century after the Crusaders returned and built remembrances of sites they had seen.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the lecture in Mooney Center Lounge.
