Barbara Nunziato, owner of Shear Pleasure Hair Salon who celebrated three decades in New Rochelle in 2015, says it's personalized customer service.
"I love making people feel good about the way they look," said the people-pleasing Greenburgh resident. "For us, it's of the utmost importance that each and every client feels special and that they get indidualized attention. We make our clients feel welcome from the moment they walk in our door. It's all about the personal connection."
Nunziato said she also works hard at staying current and mixing it up. While she's long offered Ombre services, she recently introduced Balayage, a free-handed technique designed to create soft, natural-looking highlights.
The salon is also offering the trendy platinum/silver hair color which has been popular with customers. In addition, they are launching a Girlfriends Glam Day offer where if you bring a friend for a first-time visit, you'll receive 50 percent off one service.
Right now, for summer, Nunziato is seeing styles that are relaxed and easy. "Customers are looking for a more easy to wash and wear style for the beach and warm weather," she explained.
Also big for August: keratin treatments as, said Nunziato, people don't want to be tied to a blow dryer.
