Sunrise Highway Stretch Reopens After Crash

A busy stretch of the Sunrise Highway (Route 27) has reopened late Thursday morning, Feb. 18.

The westbound lanes became closed just after 8:30 a.m., at Exit 40 in North Babylon and exit 50 in Holbrook after a crash, Suffolk County Police said.

The closure ended just before 11 a.m.

Further information on the crash has not yet been released.
