Long Island Covid-19 School Closures For Friday, March 13

Brentwood Union Free School District: Closed Friday, March 13.

Deer Park School District: Closed  Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16.

Franklin Square Union Free School District: Closed Friday, March 13 after a staff member at the Washington Street School awaiting results after taking COVID-19 test after a close relative tested positive.

Friends Academy: Campus will remain closed through Friday, March 13; virtual school opened Wednesday, March 11.

Greenport Union Free School District: Closed Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 out of an abundance of caution to complete a deep, thorough cleaning.

Jericho School District: Closed Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13.

Levittown Public Schools: Closed on Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16 after being notified by the Nassau County Department of Health that a GC Tech staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

Plainview Old Bethpage Central School District: Schools remain closed through Friday, March 13 for additional testing and analysis after a staff member contracted COVID-19. 

Portledge School, Locust Valley: Closed. Online instruction will begin Friday, March 13.

Sag Harbor Union Free School District: Closed Thursday, March 12 through Sunday, March 22. The district said it scheduled the closure "in an effort to be proactive in protecting the health and safety of our school community." There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our schools, the district noted.

Smithtown Central School District: Schools will be closed starting on Monday, March 16, through Sunday, March 22.

St. Anthony's High School: Closed Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 while the building is cleaned and sanitized.

Valley Stream Central High School District: Closed Friday, March 13 after a staff member at Memorial Junior High School has reported that she tested positive for COVID-19.

West Islip Public Schools: Closed Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 after the district said it notified that a staff member at Bayview Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Waldorf School of Garden City: Closed through Friday, March 13.
