The incident took place around 11:15 p.m., Friday, April 23 when a woman was walking her emotional support dog, Romeo, in Selden, on Pine Street said the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section.
According to police, the woman was walking her dog "Romeo," when a dark-colored SUV struck the toy poodle, killing it.
The dog’s owner reached into the driver’s vehicle and attempted to stop her but the driver fled the scene, police said.
The suspect is described as being white with blonde shoulder-length hair and in her 30s.
