A woman was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Merrick.

The incident took place around 12:53 a.m., early Tuesday, May 28, at Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway, according to the Nassau County Police.

The unidentified woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The incident is under investigation. No other information was available at this time.
