Video: Police Need Help ID'ing Duo On Bicycles Who Vandalized Pride Flag At Long Island Home

Police are working to identify two people who allegedly damaged an LGBTQ Pride flag outside a Long Island home.

The incident occurred Tuesday, May 17, at a home in Patchogue, located on Case Avenue, Suffolk County Police said.

At around 6:30 p.m., two males on bikes reportedly ripped down a Pride flag hanging from a tree in the home’s yard, damaging the flag.

The suspects, described only as white, then yelled anti-LGBTQ slurs, police said.

Investigators asked anyone with information to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, which is offering a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest.

Anonymous tips can be called in to 1-800-220-TIPS or submitted on the Crime Stoppers website.
