Video: Police Ask Public's Help In Investigation Of Hit-Run Nassau Crash

Police are asking the public's help in their continued investigation of a hit-and-run Long Island crash.

It happened Monday, Aug. 5 at 9:05 a.m. in Hempstead.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, the female victim, 20, was operating her 2017 Toyota Corolla eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike and was struck by a light gray Honda Accord traveling southbound on Fulton Avenue.

The Accord is possibly a 2006 and had a New York Registration (yellow plate). The vehicle fled the scene.

The female victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Detective request anyone with information regarding the above incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
