Two women were savagely robbed after one was hit her in the face with a gun and then tied up after answering a knock on the door of her Farmingdale home.

The incident took place around 645 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, when the woman answered a knock at her Main Street home and was immediately allegedly smashed in the face with a handgun by a black man, said the Nassau County Police.

Three black men then entered the residence and tied the victim, and a second woman's hands behind their backs and removed several of the victim’s belongings and then fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

The only description the victims were able to provide was three male blacks, all wearing masks, police said.

The women were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above incident contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
