Two Suspects On Loose After 7-Eleven Armed Robbery In Elmont

Two suspects are at large following an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on Long Island.

The two men entered the store located at 1571 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, July 19, Nassau County Police said.

Once inside, one of the men displayed a handgun and demanded a male clerk, 22, hand over cash from the register, police said. The other man displayed a pink Taser and demanded the second male clerk, 40, lay down on the ground, according to police. 

The men made off with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and Lottery tickets before fleeing the scene on foot southbound down Belmont Boulevard. There were no injuries reported.

The first suspect is described as being black, about 6-feet tall with a thin build, according to police. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, red/white sneakers and a white bandana over his face, police said. 

The second suspect is described as being black with a heavy build, police said. He was wearing a short sleeve hooded sweatshirt, red shirt, red pants and a red bandana over his face,  according to police.
