Two Nabbed Attempting To Steal Mail In Nassau County, Police Say

Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing mail from a mailbox on Long Beach.

The men were caught Wednesday, Jan. 15, trying to remove mail from a box on East Park Avenue and Monroe Boulevard in Long Beach, according to News 12 Long Island.

When caught, the men fled in a BMW, crashing into several vehicles, including a police car.

Following a crash, the men jumped out of the vehicle and ran down Roosevelt Boulevard before officers were able to capture them.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
