Two Men Injured In Apparent Long Island Drive-By Shooting

Two men were injured by gunshots in an apparent drive-by shooting overnight on Long Island.

It happened Saturday, Jan. 4 at approximately 11:50 p.m. in Baywood, Suffolk County Police said.

Third Precinct officers responded to a residence on Callahan Street after a 911 report of shots fired.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men who had been shot outside of the residence., police said The men were transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 80-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
