A third alleged MS-13 gang member has been charged with the murder of a man whose remains were found in the Massapequa Preserve during an intensive search of the area.

Samuel Ponce, 18, of Hempstead, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in connection with the murder of Bryan Steven Cho Lemus, 18, of Uniondale, whose body was discovered on Friday, May 24, by Nassau County detectives searching the preserve, said the Nassau County Police.

Lemus' remains were discovered after several searches of the area, police and Nassau officials said.

Police believe Lemus had been in the preserve for two years. The body was discovered about 100 feet from where the body of an alleged MS-13 victim was discovered in March 2017.

Two other alleged gang members have also been arrested for the crime and charged with murder including Raul Ponce, 19, and Stanley Gerson Juarez, 22,  both of Hempstead.

Ponce was charged with murder and is being held without bond.
