Suspect On Loose After Knifepoint Robbery At Massapequa Gas Station

A suspect is at large after an overnight knifepoint robbery at a gas station on Long Island.

It happened on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 1:40 a.m. in Massapequa, Nassau County Police say.

According to detectives, a male subject entered the Conoco gas station located at 1000 Hicksville Road and displayed a knife to the 19-year-old male employee behind the cash register. 

The suspect removed an unknown amount of cash from the register before fleeing eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 30 to 35 years old, about 5-foot-7 and 190 pounds and last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.

Detectives requested anyone with information requesting the above incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
