A suspect is on the loose after a man was assaulted, robbed and shot overnight on Long Island.
It happened at around 10:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov.16 in Wyandanch.
First Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of shots fired at the corner of Straight Path and N 11th Street at approximately 10:50 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old Wyandanch man on that corner with two gunshot wounds to his leg.
The victim had been assaulted, robbed and shot by a man who fled the scene, according to police.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two unoccupied parked motor vehicles were also struck by bullets. The motor vehicles were impounded for evidence.
