Multiple swastikas were found drawn at a picnic pavilion at an Oyster Bay Park overnight, Nassau County Police said.

Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department’s Second Precinct responded to the pavilion at the Theodore Roosevelt Park on West End Avenue at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Upon arrival, investigators found that a suspect had drawn seven 10-inch swastikas that were drawn with a purple marker on the structure. It is believed that the incident took place between Wednesday, Aug. 7, and 8:40 a.m. on Thursday.

The investigation into the swastikas is ongoing. No suspect has been identified. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-244-TIPS.
