Queens Mom With Schizophrenia, 6-Year-Old Daughter Go Missing

Police are attempting to locate a schizophrenic woman and her 6-year-old daughter, who did not make it to school on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Janee Evans, 32, and her daughter, Victoria Evans, were last seen in Queens at their Queens Boulevard home at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, police said. Both she and her daughter have reportedly gone missing in the past.

Police said that the child’s grandmother alerted authorities when Victoria failed to appear at school, where her mother typically drops her off each morning.

Janee Evans is described as being 5-foot-5 and 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, red hoodie, gray pants, and blue sneakers. Victoria Evans is approximately 3-foot-10 and was last seen wearing a blue and white dress with black leggings.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, or who has information about Evans’ whereabouts has been asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
