Nassau County Man Arrested For Assault At Long Island Political Rally

Police arrested a Long Island man for allegedly pulling a sign out of the hands of a 64-year-old man at a political rally, then following him to his car, punching him and pushing him to the ground.

Police were initially unable to identify the perpetrator of the incident, which took place in Setauket at the intersection of North Country Road and Route 25A on Saturday, Sept. 12 at approximately 12:15 p.m. After an investigation, Noah Milstein of Setauket, 26, was identified as a suspect. 

He was charged with the misdemeanor of third-degree assault on Monday, Sept. 28, and is awaiting sentencing. The victim, Teddy Taranowicz, reportedly drove himself to Northport VA Medical Center after the incident for treatment of minor injuries.
