Masked Man Robs Long Island Gas Station, Police Say

A masked man is on the loose after robbing a gas station on Long Island, police say.

The alleged suspect entered the Mobil station at 372 Middle Country Road in Coram at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from an employee, according to Suffolk County Police.

The employee complied and the man fled on foot, said police.

The robber was described as black with a medium build. He was wearing a red and black plastic mask and a green shirt, according to police.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
