Man Wanted For Allegedly Stealing From Long Island Store

An advisory has been issued by Suffolk County Police investigators as they seek to track down a man wanted for petit larceny after stealing two pairs of shoes from an Islandia store.

Investigators have released a surveillance photo of a man caught red-handed stealing two pair of Nikes from Famous Footwear on Vets Highway at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25.

In the photo, the African American suspect is sporting glasses, a striped long-sleeved shirt and a hat with the Chevrolet logo. No other information has been released by police.

A reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to arrests has been offered by the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or who recognizes the suspects has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” and the message to 274637.
