It happened around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 in Bohemia.
The man was standing in front of Temptations Gentlemen’s Club, located at 10 Carlough Road, when he was shot, Suffolk County Police said.
The man, 27-year-old Darryl Stewart, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. Stewart's place of residence was not disclosed.
During this investigation, detectives discovered that there were shots fired at the same location at approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
"No one called 911 to report the first shooting and detectives are investigating if the two shootings are connected," Suffolk County Police said.
