The robbery happened at the AT&T store, located at 239 Old Country Road in Carle Place, at about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police said a man approached a 22-year-old man who works at the store and grabbed his bag.
The suspect then left the store with the victim's bag, police said.
The victim followed the man outside, and the man pushed the victim to the ground, NCPD reported.
The suspect then fled the scene in an Audi A6, which traveled west on Old Country Road, police said.
The victim declined medical treatment at the scene, police reported.
Police said the suspect was described as being a Black man who is 6-foot-2 and about 170 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a blue mask, a black hat, a black jacket, red sweatpants, and gray sneakers, NCPD reported.
Authorities asked anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
