Man On Bicycle Steals $3K From Unlocked Car In Front Of Long Island Residence, Police Say

A man allegedly stole $3,000 from an unlocked car on Long Island before taking off on a bicycle, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole from a parked car in Patchogue in January.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly entered an unlocked Toyota Camry parked in front of an Oak Street home in Patchogue at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 and stole $3,000 cash.

Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the incident has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or submitting an anonymous tip online.
