Police released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly stole an American flag from the front of a Long Island home over the summer.

According to Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section investigators, the man - only described as Hispanic by police - stole the flag from a Nesconset home on Summit Drive at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen flag, or who has information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or sending a tip through their mobile app.
