Man Accused Of Burglarizing Two Nassau County Stores

A 45-year-old man is accused of burglarizing two Long Island stores.

Scott Gilmor, of Hicksville, was arrested at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, on Willow Avenue and East Avenue in Hicksville for two burglaries that happened in Nassau County, police reported.

The Nassau County Police Department said Gilmor forcefully entered the front door of a store located at 125 Bloomingdale Road in Hicksville at 1 a.m. on Monday, March 28.

He then took an unknown amount of money from the cash register and left the scene, police said.

Police said Gilmor was also found to have burglarized a CardSmart store, located at 324 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset, on Friday, Dec. 31. 

NCPD said Gilmor is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, and he was arraigned on Thursday, May 19.
