Suffolk County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Jevon Bell, 24, of Mastic, on the Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Brookhaven on Saturday, Dec. 21 at about 1:12 a.m.

Bell was observed exceeding the posted 35 miles-per-hour speed limit by traveling 109 MPH, the sheriff's office said. 

Bell demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating he was intoxicated, according to the sheriff's office. 

Bell was arrested and transported to Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Station 17 where he submitted to a chemical breath test resulting in a .08 BAC. 

Bell was charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic infractions.
