A former Garden City High School lacrosse player has been killed in a car crash just north of Boston.

Sabrina Milone, 21, of Garden City, was killed around 9 p.m., Saturday, June 8, in a single-vehicle crash on Route 495 in Amesbury, Massachusets, said the Massachusetts State Police.

A preliminary investigation by Trooper Michael Crowley indicates that Milone was traveling on Route 495 northbound in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler when, for reasons still under investigation, she traveled off the right side of the roadway and crashed.

Milone was transported to Anna Jaques Hospital where she died. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle, state police said.

A 2016 graduate of Garden City High School, where she played lacrosse, Milone is survived by her parents Guy R. Milone, Jr, and Christina (nee) Miller, her sisters, Lily and Ava, and her grandmother Lorraine Milone.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, from  3 to 8 p.m. at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1201 Franklin Avenue, Garden City. A Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15,  at the Garden City Community Church, 245 Stewart Avenue, Garden City.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: the Sabrina Milone Foundation at 100 Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard, Suite 205, Garden City, NY 11530.
