Nassau County Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly approached a 10-year-old boy and made sexual comments as he was walking in Hicksville.

The event took place around 3:46 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, while the boy was walking on Gables Drive in the area of Gables Road, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, the victim was approached by an adult man who was driving a light gray or silver four-door sedan. The man, who was described to be in his 20s with blonde hair and wearing a black shirt, drew the attention of the victim and made, what was described to be, sexual advances towards him, police said.

The boy left the area and went home and told his parents, who then contacted police.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above incident or who may recognize the man depicted in the drawing, to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
