Driver Crashes Into Health Club In East Meadow

A car slammed into the front of a sports club on Long Island, causing damage to the car,  but little to the building.

The incident took place at New York Sports Clubs' East Meadow location at around 2:51 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, at 621 Merrick Ave., said the Nassau County Police. 

According to police, the unidentified driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the building. 

The driver was removed from the vehicle by officers and transported to an area hospital for minor injuries, police said.

There was no structural damage to the building, officials said.
