Alert Issued For Missing Nassau County Man

A vulnerable 75-year-old man from Nassau County has been missing for nearly two weeks.

According to the Nassau County Police Missing Persons Squad, James Grant was last seen on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at noon, an incident reported Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1:50 p.m.

Detectives described Grant as a male black and said he suffers from a cognitive disorder and is need of medication.

He was last seen leaving Franklin General Hospital on Franklin Avenue, said police.

Grant is described at 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and multi-colored hair and beard.

His clothing description and possible destination are unknown.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding Grant's whereabouts to call Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or 911.
