Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man With Residences In Both Nassau, Suffolk

A Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him.

The Southampton Town Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for the man who has residences in both Hampton Bays and Massapequa.

William Woodworth, age 58, was last heard from on Sunday, Jan. 17 at approximately 8:30 a.m. His vehicle was located at his Hampton Bays residence and police believe he may have gone to Shinnecock Bay.

Woodworth approximately 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds. He has hazel eyes and gray hair.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on Woodworth’s location to call 911 from within Southampton Town jurisdiction, or Southampton Town detectives at 631-728-3400.
