Missing Uniondale Woman Found

A 77-year-old woman who went missing on Long Island has been found.

Helen Khan, who was reported missing out of Uniondale at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, has been located, Nassau County Police announced early Wednesday evening, Aug. 7.

Police have issued an alert for a missing 77-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

The Nassau County Police Department’s Missing Persons Squad detectives unit are attempting to locate Helen Khan, who was reported missing out of Uniondale at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5.

According to investigators, Khan was last seen leaving her Uniondale home driving a gray 2008 Hyundai Accent with the license plate EJA9253.

Investigators described Khan as a 5-foot-1 Indian woman weighing approximately 125 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair, and a brown complexion. Police were unable to provide a description of what she might be wearing, or where she might be going.

Anyone with information regarding Khan’s whereabouts, or who may recognize her has been asked to call the Nassau County Police Department’s Missing Persons Squad by calling (516) 573-7347 or 911.
