The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to residents in Suffolk County regarding the residency of 48-year-old Michael Scott, who has reported a move from the Fishkill Correctional Facility in Beacon to Koren Lane in Middle Island.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Scott a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Scott had sexual contact with a "non-stranger" who was under the age of 17 in May 2015. Scott was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse without consent and sentenced to 90 years in local jail.
