Gov. Andrew Cuomo has directed the State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation offers extended hours at the following this weekend, according to the governor's' office.

High temperatures and increased humidity could pose danger to at-risk populations, including the elderly and small children
New Yorkers are urged to take precautions during the heatwave expected Friday, July 19 to Monday, July 22 when the heat index values will range from the mid-90s to more than 100 degrees possibly.
The National Weather Service has already issued Heat Advisories for the majority of counties outside of northern New York and more can be expected as the week progresses.
New Yorkers can take advantage of swimming facilities at state parks with extended hours and cooling stations all throughout the state this weekend.
