Suffolk County Police said a man from the hamlet of East Norwich in the town of Oyster Bay was apprehended around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, after he raped and sexually abused female passengers while working as a ride-share driver in Lindenhurst and Copiague. 

A 28-year-old woman reported using a ride-share service in Lindenhurst on Thursday, June 30 around 10:50 p.m. Milton Paguada, the driver of a 2022 Toyota Prius, offer her a massage and started to rub her leg, police said.

Paguada then pulled over and raped her, police said. 

On Saturday, Sept. 10, a 23-year-old woman reported using a ride-share driver in Copiague around 1 a.m. Paguada, the driver, offered the woman a massage and started to rub her legs, police said.

He then pulled over the car and forcibly touched her, police added.

Paguada was arrested on Saturday and charged with:

  • Rape
  • Sex abuse
  • Two counts of forcible touching

The vehicle was impounded as evidence, police said.
