Ja-wan Groover, age 15, is a runaway from the Timothy Hill Children's Ranch in Suffolk County in Riverhead.
No four play is suspected, said the Riverhead Police.
Groover is described as being a black male, 5-foot-3, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
