A Long Island restaurant that specializes in Cuban cuisine offers guests a variety of dishes and cocktails, including paella and passion fruit mojitos.
The restaurant owners said the menu is also influenced by Puerto Rican and Spanish cuisine.
Brunch is served beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The menu includes waffles, a Cuban brunch burger, eggs benedict, and more.
Dishes offered for dinner include Cuban steak, filet mignon, and spinach potato. The restaurant also offers paella, made with saffron rice, mussels, shrimp, clams, peas, tomatoes, scallops, and calamari.
Cafe Havana also serves a number of cocktails, including different flavors of mojitos and margaritas. Some online users have shouted out the restaurant's passion fruit mojitos.
The dessert menu includes flan, coconut custard pie, and guava cheesecake, which is made with a homemade guava glaze.
"For dessert, we got the coconut banana fritters and tres leche, along with the hot buttered rum coffee and cortadito," Shane L., of Hauppauge, wrote in a review on Yelp. "As a Chef, I'm very particular when going to restaurants, but was very impressed with the service and quality. Look forward to coming back."
Cafe Havana is located at 944 W. Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown. The restaurant is open Tuesdays through Sundays.
