King Bar By David Burke, at the Garden City Hotel, 45 7th St., Garden City: Spacious with comfortable seating inside the hotel with WiFi, it's a relaxed setting where you can linger over drinks, order food, meet friends or sit alone and be at ease. 

The bar is the "go-to spot for locals," according to a review by Kevin T. of Manhattan on Yelp. "Everyone is very friendly and very talkative," the post said.

Cathie on Open Table where King Bar has a four of five-star rating, posted a review, "Great atmosphere and service and food... Excellent cocktails too. Fun place to hang out."

Nutty Irishman, 323 Main St. Farmingdale: This is a live music venue, bar, and nightclub with bands, DJ dancing, line dancing, Monday Night Football, wings and beer nights.

The place is "usually a good time. It’s relatively cheap and they always have live music playing,"  Chris Ingrisani of Wantagh told Daily Voice.

Speakeasy, 1032 W. Beech St, Long Beach: A quaint local restaurant, sports bar and live music nightlife hangout where you can have a quick snack or full meal from the American cuisine menu.

Lily N. of Freeport, on Yelp said, "Went to Long Beach for some grub and day drinking. Found this place right when they were starting their day. Outside seating was nice on this beautiful day. The place got packed with customers really quick. ... Highly highly recommended."

Ziggy's Corner Pub, 1 Central Ave., Massapequa: A craft beer bar and meeting place used for community events and celebrations with a local following. A bonus is that the bar is across from the LIRR station.

​Says Jon B. of Bellmore on Yelp, "Staff is incredible at referring beers depending on your style or preference, excellent experience, great events, and atmosphere. Highly recommended."

Runyon's, 3928 Merrick Road, Seaford: A pub/restaurant with a  bar large enough to accommodate a crowd of family and friends or sports enthusiasts. The restaurant has cozy booths serving steak and seafood.

Irene M. of Bellmore posted on Yelp, "I'm transported to "Cheers" where not everyone knows my name but the awesome bartender sure remembers it.”
