Bronx resident Christine H. Price, age 29, was arrested on Saturday, March 29, after troopers responded to a report of a visitor smuggling items into the facility, which is located in Beacon, New York State Police announced on Monday, March 31.
Following an investigation, authorities determined that Price had allegedly introduced approximately 22 grams of marijuana and 4 grams of tobacco into the prison.
She was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and released on an appearance ticket.
Price is scheduled to appear in City of Beacon Court on Wednesday, April 23 at 9:00 a.m.
Police did not reveal whether the contraband was intended for a specific inmate, or how the items were discovered.
