Coyote Attack On Sheep Reported In Northern Westchester
County officials said a coyote may have killed a sheep at Muscoot Farm in Somers and injured two others on Thursday. The sheep were found when employees to perform morning farm chores Thursday and noticed a sheep lying in the field and two others limping, said Alexis Joondeph-Breidbart, a spokeswoman for Westchester County. Muscoot Farm is an early 20th-century interpretative farm museum that is owned and operated by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation. Popular Middle School Assistant Principal In Westchester Dies At 49
Byron Womack, a very popular assistant principal at Port Chester Middle School, died overnight, officials said on Tuesday, Feb. 20. He was 49 years old. Details about funeral services have not been announced, but counseling is being offered to students and staff at PCMS, which is in session this week. Teen Charged In Connection To Westchester Pool Pavilion Fire
A two-year investigation into a fire at the Briarcliff Manor Pavillion has led to the arrest of a Westchester County teenager who is facing an arson charge.
