In a recent post on the Ridgewood Police Department Facebook page, officials said they're investigating two recent reports of wallets being taken from unlocked parked cars, and in both cases, the cars were parked at different child care facilities. Both incidents occurred between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Nov. 10 at the two businesses.

In both cases, police said, those responsible parked in the parking lot and waited for the parent to get out of the car and go inside the child care building. The items were then taken from the unlocked cars.

Police are looking for a white Kia Sedona minivan with unknown but out-of-state license plates, police said. Anyone with information should call Officer Victoria Ryan at the Ridgefield Police Department at 203-438-6531 or the Anonymous Tip Line at 203-431-2345.
