Five Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley busted more than a dozen removed from the road for alleged impaired driving this past weekend.

Local residents charged include: 

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, April 6, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Jennifer J. Lopez, 34, of Peekskill, for DWI. She was traveling on North James Street in Peekskill, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, April 6, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Jose F. Lemus Santos, 36, of Cortlandt, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 118 in Somers, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, April 6, State Police troopers from East Fishkill arrested Zachary Salvia, 27, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 7, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Rufino Mendez Vega, 40, of Cortlandt, for DWI.   • On Saturday, April 6, State Police troopers from East Fishkill arrested Noah R. Magsamen, 36, of Montgomery, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley, and drove off the roadway into an embankment. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Friday, April 5, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Steven M. Erker, 31, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Old Croton Falls Road in Somers, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
