Mount Kisco Sidewalk Sale Starts Saturday

Mount Kisco, NY – It's mid-September here in Mount Kisco, which can mean only one thing. Sidewalk Sales Days are back with a vengeance, with shop owners and sales people manning the tables and shoppers thronging through the crowds to get the best merchandise for the lowest price of the season.

The funfest runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m both Saturday and Sunday.

Locals and visitors alike can head down South Moger Avenue, make a detour through the promenade, and see the best the community has to offer. The day is sponsored by the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce, and is one of the major events the chamber puts on each year.

Kathleen Mooney, the executive director, has worked with the chamber to make sure there is something for everyone, even acts on the two separate stages.

"We worked hard to publicize when the different acts are appearing and trying to spread it out so there's always something of interest."

Mooney wouldn't divulge the name, but also reminded how there will be a big favorite returning to the event, along with how the days really cater well to both moms and kids.

"There are activities for her, and especially the handbag sales that are incredibly popular," she said. "There will be plenty of activities for kids to keep them busy, some carnival activities, and of course different vendors are going to do things for kids as well."

Dads should not despair either, as there will be plenty of choices for everyone.
