MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Mount Kisco last week:
- The first storm of the year in Westchester County was predicted to bring 1-2 inches of snow to the area.
- Former Gov. Mario Cuomo, one of the leading figures in recent political history, whose son, Andrew, followed his path to become governor of New York, died on New Year’s Day at the age of 82.
- The woman who jumped from the Interstate 84 overpass on Tuesday was identified as 69-year-old Kathleen A. Kondrat. Kondrat jumped from a section of the overpass above a roadway that doubles as Routes 6, 202 and 22.
- An exhibit in New Castle pays homage to the biggest names that have called the town home. "Notable Neighbors in New Castle" will be presented at the Horace Greeley House in Chappaqua through Friday, Jan. 17.
