Joseph Sammarco, 63, Mount Kisco Native

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Joseph R. Sammarco, formerly of Mount Kisco, died May 20 at his home in Stamford. He was 63.

The son of the late Enriquo M. and Santina R. Ceasario Sammarco, immigrants of Sans Fils, Italy, he grew up in Mount Kisco. Sammarco attended Fox Lane High School in Mount Kisco and Fort Lauderdale University.

He is survived by a son, Justin; a daughter in-law, Melissa; two brothers, John and Louis; a sister-in-law, Judy; his longtime friend, Arlene McCoy; and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven, Conn. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. There are no calling hours. Clancy Funeral Home in East Haven, Conn., is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
