The Mount Kisco Library has reinstated its popular Teen Gaming Night that was discontinued at the end of the summer. Teen Gaming Night will be held the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m in the teen room.
We have a Wii gaming system we take out for the teens to play and have about four games for the teens to choose from, said Children's Librarian Maria Ciccone. Those games come from our existing collection of games. We also have board games for teens to play.
Teen Gaming Night was a big success over the summer as local teens flocked to the library to play video games and board games with their friends. Parents also found solace in the fact that their teens had a safe and educational place to hang out with friends. The library also offers free snacks during Teen Gaming Night.
Over the summer we had 6 teens that came on a regular basis. This is our first Teen Gaming Night since the summer. We're hoping for a big turn out, said Ciccone.
The Mount Kisco Library was expecting a big crowd as many residents were still without power on Wednesday. We know kids are probably bored with school being out and no power, so we have been encouraging the teens to stop by today to have some fun.
