Kilos Of Cocaine, Crack, Heroin Found In Search Of Business, Home In Westchester: Police

A long-term narcotics investigation led to a major bust in Westchester after authorities executed search warrants that turned up a sizable stash of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

The bust happened on Thursday, April 10, when members of the Westchester County Police Department, working with the DEA, the Mount Vernon Police Department, and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, executed warrants at a business and residence in Mount Vernon, authorities said. The specific locations of the searches were not made public.

The search resulted in the seizure of approximately:

  • 1.5 kilograms of alleged cocaine;
  • 3 ounces of alleged crack cocaine;
  • 0.5 ounces of alleged heroin;
  • Precursor materials and packaging commonly used in drug cutting and distribution.

The operation culminated in the arrest of Roshon J. Walker, 49, of West 3rd Street in Mount Vernon. Walker, a four-time convicted felon, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. 

Walker was arraigned in Mount Vernon City Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
