MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Here’s a look at events happening in Mount Kisco this week, including government meetings and community happenings. Monday, April 16

Operatic Voices at the Mount Kisco Public Library: 2 p.m. In a class held at the library, Susan Grunthal will examine the beauty, variety and complexity of opera singers' voices and roles. The class will have the opportunity to compare and contrast the qualities of opera stars. 

Tuesday, April 17

West Patent Elementary School Association Meeting: 7 p.m. There will be a meeting of the West Patent Elementary School Association at West Patent Elementary at 80 West Patent Road in Bedford Hills on Tuesday.

Board of Appeals: 7:30 p.m. The board of appeals meeting will be held at Mount Kisco’s Village Hall.

Business After Business Network Event: 5:30 p.m. The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring this networking event, where business owners will form connections and get to know one another in a more relaxed setting than regular networking events. "Business After Business" will be held at French American Bistro, which will provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Wednesday, April 18

Architectural Review Board: 7:30 p.m. The architectural review board will meet at 425 Cherry St.

Board of Education Meeting: 8 p.m. The board of education meeting will take place at Fox Lane Middle School’s Little Theatre, where board members will vote on the budget.

Thursday, April 19

Wellness Day at Fox Lane High School: All day Fox Lane will host its annual wellness day, which features fun and educational workshops for students, special speakers and lunch for the entire student body. This year's event will feature Steve Hammell, an escape artist and public speaker, and Chris Waddell, a Paralympic skier and the first paraplegic to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro unassisted.
